   Welcome Vendors

Advertising.

It’s the one word in the wedding industry that makes us all cringe. How many bridal magazines do you need to advertise in?  How do you know which magazines are reaching potential customers especially when your prime client most likely lives somewhere else?  With 25% of Americans choosing to get married anywhere from local vacation destinations to exotic destinations, such as FLORIDA, Mexico, or Jamaica, advertising depends on how well you place your calling cards in random magazines.  It also depends on how well you guess at which key words a bride types into her Google search bar.

The SW Florida Bridal Authority (SWFBA) is more than a magazine advertising your venue or service.  It’s an entirely new concept for attracting brides to your business.   It’s your personal calling card delivered directly into the hands of prospective brides by SWFBA staff and travel partners who will personally attend bridal shows in places like Minnesota, Wisconsin, New York, Oregon, New Jersey or Michigan.  That’s right!  What better way to reach the bride who is thinking BEACH wedding but doesn’t know the difference between Playa Del Carman, Marco Island and Ocho Rios. And how about the brides who don’t realize the added expense of staging a wedding outside the country?

The SWFBA will be a semi-annual guide-size magazine with focus on areas from Sanibel/Captiva to Marco Island with Naples in between.  Well written articles on locations and its advantages, wedding license requirements, resorts, tide tables, how-to’s, tropical fashions, makeup, florists, photographers, caterers, and what to expect at various times of the year will divide the advertising pages. This will give a prospective bride a reason to keep the guide in her hands longer or pass it on to a friend.  Guest writers (you, the advertisers) will be invited to submit articles on your specialty, such as a florist who might want to make recommendations for best lasting bouquet flowers or a fashion designer stating the best fabrics to use for a beach wedding. The back section will be reserved for the advertiser’s directory, divided by category and listed alphabetically with our travel agency partners. Vital local contact information and maps practically guarantee the SWFBA magazine will return to Florida in the hands of your new client.

YES!  Distribution includes 50 of the largest prime AAA retail travel outlets and the goal to partner with at least one travel agency in each state. And not just any travel agency, but those whose staff attend their local bridal fairs: YOUR TARGET MARKET.

In addition to the print magazine, a custom built website will feature all of the printed material, advertorials for advertisers, and hyperlinks to your website (with contact information) that you can access and control as you wish.

Print run at this time is scheduled at 20,000 but not limited to that number.  Magazines at each bridal fair will not be limited. Additional magazines will be delivered to Barnes & Noble book-free shelves, free magazine racks in other venues, such as restaurants, shopping malls, styling salons, doctors’ offices and any establishment magazines are welcome.  SWFBA will also offer free mailing on request from the website along with your personal supply if requested.

This new and exciting concept of delivering your business card directly into the hands of your prospective clients takes the guesswork out of current day marketing plans of Modern Bride and Bride Magazines which do not focus on YOU.   With the SW Florida Bridal Authority, not only are you visible nationwide but in a media that keeps a bride focused on destinations and destination services.  That’s YOU!

I look forward to presenting you our media kit and answering any questions you may have with regard to SW Florida Bridal Authority.
